Amendment order on pesticide residues (29 pages)

The purport of the present regulation is to adapt the order on pesticide residues as a result of:(a)extending, limiting and withdrawing existing national licences for various pesticides;(b)granting new licences for pesticides;(c)granting requests to establish a permitted maximum residue content for products to be imported into the Netherlands (import tolerance threshold);(d)extending the number of pesticides for which maximum permitted values can now be established, based on residual data which have now become available;(e)a few corrections/additions and amendments in respect of altered methods of analysis for establishing maximum permitted residues.

The aim of the order on pesticide residues, from the point of view of public health and sound agricultural practice, is to indicate the permitted quantity of pesticide residues on food and drink products. The enclosed amendment is, for reasons specified under point B, an adaptation of permitted quantities.
