6. Description of content

This Draft East African Standard specifies requirements for edible mushrooms, the carpophores (fruiting bodies) of strains grown from the genus Agaricus (syn. Psalliota) to be supplied fresh to the consumer. This standard does not apply to mushrooms for industrial processing.

Note: This Draft East African Standard was also notified to the TBT Committee.
