The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is amending the Federal poultry products inspection regulations to add China as eligible to export to the United States poultry products from birds slaughtered in China (G/SPS/N/EQV/USA/4). FSIS has reviewed China's poultry laws, regulations, and inspection system, as implemented, and has determined that they are equivalent to the Poultry Products Inspection Act (PPIA), the regulations implementing this statute, and the United States' food safety system for poultry. Under this final rule, slaughtered poultry, or parts or other products thereof, processed in certified Chinese establishments, are eligible for export to the United States. All such products are subject to reinspection at United States ports of entry by FSIS inspectors.

Le Service de la sécurité et de l'inspection des produits alimentaires (FSIS) modifie la réglementation fédérale relative à l'inspection des produits de volaille par l'ajout de la Chine aux pays qui sont habilités à exporter vers les États-Unis des produits de volaille obtenus à partir d'oiseaux abattus en Chine (G/SPS/N/EQV/USA/4). Le FSIS a examiné les lois, les règlements et le système d'inspection relatifs aux volailles appliqués par la Chine et a déterminé qu'ils étaient équivalents à la Loi sur l'inspection des produits de volaille (PPIA), aux règlements d'application de cette loi et au système de contrôle de l'innocuité des aliments appliqués par les États-Unis en ce qui concerne les volailles. Aux termes de la règle finale, les volailles abattues ou les parties ou autres produits de volaille transformés dans des établissements chinois certifiés remplissent les conditions requises pour être exportés vers les États-Unis. Tous ces produits sont soumis à réinspection par des inspecteurs du FSIS aux points d'entrée aux États-Unis.

El Servicio de Bromatología (FSIS) modifica el Reglamento Federal de Inspección de Productos de Aves de Corral para añadir a China como país autorizado a exportar a los Estados Unidos productos de aves de corral sacrificadas en China (G/SPS/N/EQV/USA/4). El FSIS ha examinado las leyes, la reglamentación y el sistema de inspección vigentes en China y ha determinado que son equivalentes a la Ley de Inspección de Productos Avícolas (PPIA), los reglamentos de aplicación y el sistema de inocuidad alimentaria de los Estados Unidos para los productos avícolas. Según lo dispuesto en la Norma definitiva notificada, se autoriza la exportación a los Estados Unidos de aves de corral, sus piezas y sus productos, elaborados en establecimientos certificados de China. Todos esos productos están sujetos a inspecciones adicionales de los inspectores del FSIS en los puertos de entrada a los Estados Unidos.
